AI in the documentation workflow: release notes, localization, and a RAG assistant

Once the documentation was on a modern platform, I used it as the foundation for three AI-assisted workflows.

AI-assisted release notes

I introduced AI-assisted generation and summarization of release notes. This cut the manual work of assembling each release's notes and got product updates published faster.

Japanese localization

I built an AI-assisted localization workflow that extended the product documentation into Japanese while keeping it in parity with the English source as the docs changed.

A RAG-based developer assistant

I architected a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) assistant that answers developers' questions in real time from the documentation, as a self-service support channel.

An assistant like this is only as good as the content it retrieves, which is why the platform and API reference work came first: consistent, well-structured documentation is what makes the answers reliable.
